Hogmaneigh finished 12th this afternoon in the Coral Sprint Trophy Heritage Handicap at York, with Ayr Silver Cup winner Kaldoun Kingdom triumphing for Richard Fahey.

Jim Goldie's sprinter had an awkward start and was never able to find the gaps to make an impression, spending the first 4 furlongs at the rear of the 20 horse group.

In the final couple of furongs Danny Tudhope took Hogmaneigh out wide to the stand rail but by that stage had too much ground to make up.
